Financing college is daunting. When you factor in room, board, tuition, fees, books, and other living expenses, it can be very easy to spend over $20,000 a year. This is a huge amount, and I remember being able to attend a major university 30 years ago for 1/5 of that! Inflation has not increased that much.
However, the good news is that most students and parents do not really spend that much every year from their personal funds. Financial aid in the form of grants and scholarships help the majority of students at 4 year colleges. Over 40 Texting 101 So You Can Chat With Your Kids
Have you noticed that your teens are bent over their cell phones a lot, or that instead of just calling you, they insist on texting you? Well, I certainly have. I had to learn BRB and TTYL and a bunch of other obtuse acronyms.
Well, teens may see texting as a way to communicate with you while still keeping their distance. Also they can zip off a quick text message to let you know where they are or what they are doing without embarassing themselves by admitting they have parents. (sigh). Anyway, I say any communication is, well, communication. So I’m willing to meet them halfway.

Well I guess software companies have their reasons to give away what they produce. Whatever the reasons, free software is just about as old as the internet! Sometimes the software is a demo or free version, and the producer hopes the user will upgrade if they like what they see. This is usually called shareware.
